On the 15th of November 2007, at 5.00 pm, Bangladesh was hit by the cyclone called Sidr. It was the 30th cyclone in this country since 1960. The winds blew up to 250 km per hour, creating waves of about 18 feet high that flooded the numerous coastal ponds of fresh water with salty water.
