One of the main tasks an XML developer will need to do is to develop a portfolio template. Since OSP uses XSL as the technology to render a portfolio from raw XML data, you will want to be able to run similar transformations on your desktop.Begin by duplicating the template you want to modify and replacing its XSL stylesheet with the passthrough stylesheet. Save the orginal XSL stylesheet (the one you wish to develop) to your local machine. Create a new portfolio using this template and save its source code to your local machine as well. Setup a transsformation scenario in your XML IDE that uses the passthrough XML and your XSL stylesheet as inputs. You should be able to edit the stylesheet and rerun your transformations and see the results immediately. Less
