About this series:
Meet our neighbors under the surface of Pacific Northwest waters! See surprising colors, contrasts, cold water creatures that look like they came from outerspace. These submarine neighbors are part of the same ecosystem we are -- we all share the same fate. Each half-hour episode contains several short videos about the underwater world from a wide variety of perspectives: art, science, poetry, etc.

In this episode, we’ll see one of the icons of the Northwest, salmon, portrayed as food prepared by chefs from all over the country. We’ll also see another local icon, Art Wolfe, and some of his Puget Sound imagery. We will see marine scientists setting off on an expedition. We’ll float up from the black depths to visit some strange creatures living in the green waters nearer the surface of our West Coast oceans. And finally, after all that cold water, we’ll warm up in some tropical water with a little fishy togetherness.
