Wilson's test is used to determine the presence of osteochondritis dissecans of the knee. Typically this lesion appears on the medial aspect of the medial femoral condyle near the intercondylar notch. The patient sits on the side of the table. The patient is then instructed to entend their knee with the tibia in medial rotation. A positive test will result in the patient reporting pain in the knee about 30-degrees from full extention. The patient's pain will be relieved when the tibia is laterally rotated.
