Just before 9 a.m. Sunday morning the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office received a call from a home owner in the 12900 block of Johnson Road just off FM 1314. The home owner told the dispatcher a geyser of oil had appeared in his yard. Deputy Ortiz was dispatched to the scene along with the Central Montgomery County Fire Department. Just before 10 p.m. Wednesday Caney Creek firefighters were dispatched to a house fire in the 17700 block of FM 2090. Just down from their station the arrived within minutes. Almost 100 children and adults gathered Saturday at the site of the park in the Ranch Crest Subdivision. The park was selected by a group of students as an after school project after it was lost last year during the wildfires. Monday morning Central Montgomery County Fire Department and Needham Fire Department were dispatched to a reported house fire on Red Bud in the Magnolia Bend Subdivision. When they arrived a female and three children were backing out of the driveway and smoke was visible from the home. As firefighters entered the home smoke was at waist level.
