Now that you watched the news segment on the Derby check out what was really going on behind the scenes! The news piece was nice but it really did not show what A great place the derby is! Alot of the scenes looked forced for the camera. The couple kissing, the older couple dancing. When in fact 10 minutes later there was a jumping and jiving dance concert by the royal crown revue and a dance off! The Derby is historic but please dont make it look like an old folks home.
This newscast was for the "Save the Derby campaign". although the music they used for the piece is not swing it was nice to have some actual tv news coverage. I hope they attend the meeting on nov 10th. for mor info go to http://www.thederby.blogspot.com
A woman in the group shouts out "They need to go to Italy to see how they should preserve buildings!" Then a gentleman from the Los Angeles conservancy replies that they believe the derby building is historic.
