This is the San Francisco Open Mic Poetry Podcast TV Show and this is Clara Hsu's segment.Judy Wells will read in this segment. Here is her bio: Judy Wells has published nine collections of poetry, including I Dream of Circus Characters: A Berkeley Chronicle (Beatitude Press), Little Lulu Talks with Vincent Van Gogh (Malthus Press), Call Home (Scarlet Tanager Books), and Everything Irish (Scarlet Tanager). She was a featured reader in the Berkeley Poetry Festival, 2006, 2009, and 2011. Judy is also co-editor of The Berkeley Literary Women’s Revolution (McFarland, 2005), a chronicle of the founding of Women’s Studies in the Comparative Literature Department at UC Berkeley in the 1970s. She received her B.A. in French from Stanford and her Ph.D. in Comparative Literature from UC Berkeley. She taught writing and literature at Bay Area colleges, then had a career as an Academic Counselor for adults at St. Mary’s College of California , and a second career teaching in the Graduate Liberal Studies Program at St. Mary’s.
