Stories from the California of the Past Digital Storytelling Project (http://digitalstorystation.com). We are one of over 30 libraries in California participating in this grant project, with services provided by Media Arts Center San Diego. The first year and a half was spent collecting stories from Pacifica and the Coastside, in San Mateo County, California. The recordings are 2-5 minute stories on topics ranging from history to fishing to coming to California themes. They are, in essence, short oral histories of local people who want to leave their mark in the world.
