Sam Tubiolo is a Sacramento artist and art teacher who designed the public art installation at the Hazel Avenue Light Rail stop. He tells the story of how the concept of designing a "transitional portal" was formed and how he found the huge split boulder which is the centerpiece of the installation.Archival footage from the initial sketches to the opening day celebration is included.The DVD version of this story is available for checkout and is in the permanent archives at the Sacramento Public Library.This story is made possible by a grant from the California State Library and is a part of the Digital Story Station project.Produced & Directed by: Karl Alexander & Jeremiah Mayhew
