Oregonians are feeling the pinch from the struggling economy. This October, 506 more families sought food stamps from the Department of Human services than at this time last year.

Professors who donate

University of Oregon employees donated $46,284 to political campaigns this season, and 97 percent of it went to presidential candidate Barack Obama and other democrats, according to a search of donations on www.opensecrets.org.
