About this episode

I ran for Coast Guard Petty Officer 3rd Class Nathan Bruckenthal while in Sedona, AZ on June 26, 2008. Nathan was the the first member of the Coast Guard to die in battle since Vietnam. My father served 24 years in the CG, retiring as a Captain. I grew up around New London and the Academy, and I was proud to run for Nathan.
