Beyond the Hero, Villain, and Yeti

Plateau Engage members Tsering Lama and Muna Gurung tell the story of Beyond the Hero, Villain, and Yeti, a workshop aimed at engaging Tibetan teens with the Tibet in Comics exhibition at the Rubin Museum of Art. Through group discussion, academic readings, conversation with a Tibetan comic artist, and investigation of narrative forms, the group began to gain an understanding of the art of comics and started to create their own stories. They presented their work on March 17th 2012 at the Rubin Museum?s Education Center.
