Adobe Wins Emmy Engineering Prize for "TV Everywhere" Solution

SAN FRANCISCO (Via Skype Video) -- Adobe has won an Emmy prime-time engineering award for its Adobe Pass, a product which allows consumers to automatically log onto television programming delivered to digital devices. The issue of authentication for cable and telco subscribers, who often don't know their credentials, has been stumbling block to the widespread adoption to what is called "TV Everywhere." Todd Greenbaum, Sr Product Manager for Adobe Pass, says in this video interview with Beet.TV, that the two-year-old Pass product has become pervasive. He says that Adobe has been embraced by 150 U.S. operators. Greenbaum adds that 98 percent of pay TV households can use Pass to access programming. He says that the Olympics was key in the widespread emergence of the TV Everywhere.
