Presented by Sister Mary McCauley, BVM Sister Mary was serving as pastoral administrator at St. Bridget Church in Postville, Iowa, at the time of the U.S. Immigrations and Custom Enforcement (ICE) raid in 2008. Sister Mary says, “My deepest hope is that the Postville story will have the power, not only to transform hearts, but ultimately to transform our current immigration laws.” She presented this at the Celebration Publications Conference Jan. 12–14, 2011, in San Antonio, Texas, “A Light to the Nations: Comprehensive Immigration Reform and the Church’s Global Commitment to the Poor,” In this video Sister Mary is sharing her presentation with her BVM sisters in Dubuque, Iowa.
