Nasciturus, short experimental narrative film about abortion

Nasciturus is a 16mm short indie film made by director Manuel León Caballero while taking a filmaking studies course in Barcelona. Beautifully shot and produced it tells the story of an abortion operation seen from the baby’s point of view. This short film won the ATEI Prize at Videomed 2004 Film Festival in Badajoz, Spain.

A stunning animated short film based on the ancient Greek mythology of Pygmalion, telling a story of a man sexually obsessed with a girl he cannot have and struggling between dark sexy fantasies and equally dark reality. Produced with digitally drawn ink, etching, pencil and paint this was a solid labour of love and obsession for Dutch animator Demian Albers of APVIS with the end result being an exceptional piece of animation that has screened at film festivals across Europe.
