Today, there are far less family-owned farms than there used to be in Maine. Large agribusiness, imported food, and misguided government subsidy has created a system in which consumers have very little knowledge about the conditions in which their food was created or the distance it has travelled to reach their kitchens. "For the Love of Small Scale" is about what growers and farmers in Maine are doing to resist this trend and return Localism to Food Production.
The group at Round Point Movies is committed to art, activism, and social change. We like videomaking, bikes, creative expression, gardening, and community organizing. We do our best to mix all of these things together and share what comes out the other side for free. We hope you appreciate our efforts and are inspired to do the same!
