On the 17th of July 2010, the Rigpa Sangha welcomed Dilgo Khyentse Yangsi Rinpoche to Lerab Ling in France. Khyentse Yangsi Rinpoche was making his first visit to the West, to mark the centenary of the birth of his previous incarnation, Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche. After a visit to La Sonnerie in the Dordogne region of France he traveled south to Sogyal Rinpoche's retreat centre near Montpellier where he was greeted by thousands of dharma students from all over the world.
