Ford Motor Company plans to utilise a new range of 'EcoBoost' engines in future cars, which combine direct injection and turbo-charging technology in order to provide both more power, and greater fuel economy than before. In essence, the range of EcoBoost engines will provide V8 levels of power with V6-type levels of fuel economy, or 4-cylinder economy with V6 power. Here, Brett Hinds, Ford's Advanced Engine Design and Development manager takes us for a ride in a development prototype Lincoln MKS, fitted with the 3.5L V6 EcoBoost engine, available later this year - and talks us through the advantages EcoBoost engines provide on the road.License: This video podcast is licensed as Sharealike Creative Commons 3.0.
