About this episode

UPDATED (9/22/09): Blip.tv has changed the layout of this page a LOT in the last few years. Click on"Files and Links" on the right side to access the different video format downloads. To play the video as a different format on screen, choose "Play episode as : Select a format" in the drop-down menu below. I recommend watching the 3rd format, labeled as "Portable (other) MPEG1 video." UPDATED (8/08/07): Please click the blue "More" link below to read this full description! Leave a comment if you have any trouble and I will respond!UPDATED (11/09/06): At the request of one church, I now have an MPEG-1 MediaShout-ready file available for download in the #3 spot. This replaced a "cell phone"-ready version of the video. If you actually got it to play on your cell phone, let me know! I was curious to know if that actually worked or not. :-) See you this weekend!!!UPDATED (11/02/06): I had someone test out the iPod video for me and apparently my first shot at it didn't quite do it, but now we've got an iPod-ready version that is reported to work great! The file format is now ".m4v" and will only play in the QuickTime player, iTunes or on your iPod. The filesize is 47.6 MB.UPDATED (10/26/06): I have exchanged the high-res RealVideo version (#10) with an iPod-ready format (.mp4). Please see the specs below (click "More") for more details. Also, this video is now available on YouTube as well: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FHB3DLhciswThis is a promo video for a North Carolina Conference of the United Methodist Church Youth Event called PILGRIMAGE. The event is open to youth groups from United Methodist churches in the eastern part of the state and takes place each November. Please note, I have added several new formats and dimension sizes of the video, so if you are having trouble viewing the QuickTime or Flash file, then please try the Windows Media format or RealVideo. ***SEE DOWNLOADING INSTRUCTIONS BELOW...Here is a detailed list of the 11 formats that I have on here. (It seems to be limiting me to one primary version and 10 alternate types. If you need a different size/format, please email me and let me know. hollyross (at) nc (dot) rr (dot) com. I have several more versions, but I am limited to having just 11 up at a time.) I now have an .mp4 file for iPods (320x240), but it is download-only (it may not play in your browser). To download it, right-click on the blue link "Portable (iPod) (.m4v)" from the right-side column and choose save.Primary - QuickTime (.mov) - 29.4 MB (320x240)#2 - Flash Video (.flv) - 12.5 MB "Web" (240x180) #3 - MEDIASHOUT MPEG-1 (.mpg) - 112 MB "Portable (Other)" (720x480)#4 - QuickTime (.mov) - 4.79 MB "Web" (160x120)#5 - Windows Media (.wmv) - 29.2 MB "Web" (320x240)#6 - Windows Media (.wmv) - 2.00 MB "Cell Phone" (176x144)#7 - QuickTime (.mov) - 172 MB "Web High Res" (640x480)#8 - RealVideo (.ram) - 2.02 MB "Low Res Web" (176x144)*#9 - Windows Media (.wmv) - 2.00 MB "Low Res Web" (176x144)*#10 - iPod Ready (.m4v) - 47.6 MB "Portable (iPod)" (320x240)#11 - Windows Media (.wmv) - 175 MB "Web High Resolution" (640x480)You can either choose your file based on the TYPE of movie you want to view/download (QT, Windows Media, Real, Flash), or the SIZE of the file you want to download (patience is a virtue!), or the DIMENSIONS of the video that you want to view (640x480 is the size of a television screen if you are going to output it to a TV). These files are streaming, so if you are watching it online (vs. downloading it), then it should start playing before it even finishes downloading all the way.***DOWNLOADING INSTRUCTIONS: If you need to download a file to show your youth group, click on Distribute, and then there is a link that says "Right-click and Save" next to each file listed. Choose the file you want, then right-click on that link and save the file to your computer. Then when you play it back from your computer, you won't have to be connected to the internet and it will play more smoothly. This process will work for all the formats except the FLV (Flash) version, which you probably don't have a player to play it with.* Just a note, #8 & #9 are only for people who have 56k Dial-Up or EXTREMELY limited bandwidth... the video looks like an underwater slideshow, but I figured it was better than nothing to have options for anybody who can't download the larger files.Email me at the address above if you have any trouble!! :-) Enjoy and feel free to leave comments (just click on "Comment") on what you think!
