Character Reference as Queen [11th Great Cover-Up]
At the 11th annual Great Cover-Up concert I think this might be the best honest-to-god rendition. Amazing harmonies, musicianship, et al. The newly formed, Character Reference, did a smashing job at getting in character (or out of I spose) and playing Queen like Queen would be happy to see. As with all Great Cover-Ups, all proceeds went to fund the Literacy Council of Fairbanks. So not only were people entertained, but they even performed some community service as it were. Danny, These Damn Doors Don't Work as Jay-Z [11t...
At the 11th annual Great Cover-Up concert I think this could have very well been the best crowd response EVER to a cover band. The freshly formed for-the-occasion, 'Danny, These Damn Doors Don't Work', did a smashing rendition of Jay-Z. Mmmmhmm. The Good Daze (minus a musician or three) throw down a splendid jam-fueled set for the first of the Clucking Blossom VII fundraisers for 2011 at the Marlin.
