There amongst the attendees who paid between $300 and $1700 to attend macworld; amongst all the talk of $1700 laptops that are little more than large PDA's; amongst the countless parties and meetups, sat John, a hobo from Hot Springs, Arkansas. The previous night I spent $40 to get into DEVO with several hundred other people. This day, I got a private concert for a couple of bucks in a hat and also got to spend some one-on-one time "backstage" with the artist.
