Local entertainer and promoter, Peter Burke died suddenly this week. Though he was known mostly for being the promoter of the regular Gay Tea Cruises that were popular in the community, Peter was also a terrific talent of his own right.
8/8/11 - A new organization, The Coalition for Freedom and Equality and the LGBT community comes out to protest U.S. Representative Allen West (R F-22) and his stance against homosexuals. West represents a portion of Wilton Manors, Florida which has a large LGBT population.

12/5/10-QueerChannel had planned to shoot the annual Gay Holiday Lights Tea Cruise and as usual, Kameron Scott went looking for people from out of town to interview. He spoke briefly to a cowboy from Texas/Oklahoma named Levi Crocker. Little did we know, but ten months later, Levi would be the star of Logo Network's "The A-List Dallas".
QueerChannel's Shane Phoenix interviews Christian singer/songwriter Ray Boltz. Boltz had just won Logo Network's 2011 Music "Album of the Year", "Songwriter of the Year" and "Spiritual Songwriter of Year" Awards.
Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman-Schultz addresses the LGBT community at the Pride Center at Equality Park in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Wasserman-Schultz is also chairman of the Democratic National Committee.
