The Niabi Zoo in Coal Valley, IL welcomed its newest resident on Sunday, Dec. 27, 2009 when Mimi, one of the zoo's two female giraffes, gave birth to a male calf. The baby giraffe pictured here with his 16-foot tall mother this morning is 5 feet tall and weighs 100 pounds. "Mimi and baby are both doing good," said zoo director Tom Stalf.
