Former Rock Island Church becomes new museum

Renovations at the former First Church of Christ, Scientist building on the corner of 7th Avenue and 22nd Street in Rock Island, are continuing. The 48,035-square-foot, three-story structure is being converted into a museum for rare manuscripts by the Karpeles Manuscript Library Museums organization.
