Greenhouse Effect's Clark Hagins is one of 2009 Alternative Rock's most unlikely success storys. "G.e." is seen internationally on over one million computers a day or more ! and the March 1992 Song 'Brandy" fuels the Ge engine thoroughly. "I have always said to people ,..it don't matter how old you are or what you look like just so long as you have hit songs that good - and we have them" Says Higgins.'Brandy' as well as "The White Black Song" and "It ain't easy" are all catchy G.e. diddies that cruise along more like the Monkees or the Beatles than they do like 'MY Chemical Romance" or Panic at the disco. "We have extreme melody" says Higgins "Thats the key,...we have a huge email list, tons of videos, and thousands of different video hosting sites that all seem to enjoy carrying G.e. songs the most, ...our band really 'works' on the internet - better than most bands,....and the grace of the internet will keep us "eternally young" forever,...we will always be net celebrities - even someday when i am a senior citizen in an old folks home,...I'll 'always' be G.e. (Laughs)" says Higgins.In the 'fixed environment' the lovable charm of G.e. is alot like that not unlike The Monkees and the Who and delightful British pop bands of the 1960's. Greenhouse Effect are tv clowns that ham it up and defy their geekey white suburban 'unintelligent' appearance. "We were a smart band" says Clark hagins "We always knew we would make the big time,..even 'if' it wasn't till we were 50 !! (Laughs)"...Greenhouse Effect songs roll along in the classic 60's early 70's sense sounding more like the Buffalo Springfield and David Bowie and the Guess Who ,...loaded with melody, tight hooks, and 'old school' classic rock flavor,..at times even varying into the territory of groups like Rush and Genesis with tracks like 1992's "The Ballad of Kurt Cobain"."All of our songs are great!" says Clark hagins "We put our songs out and we have top people working with us,..great people like Steve Hoovernton ,...and great technology for Google like the Zeus Marketing robot 1000 as sold by David Notistine. Using things like cbmall and klause41 links and great band promotion companys like Somanymp3s.com assures us that G.e. and BRANDY will always be at the tops of every major search engine,..we will always get great downloads at Googlevideo.com but ofcourse my goal is to make money at this,...with our various large email lists and our link urls to "i-tunes" ,..we hope to turn the cyberspace success at being seen ,..that is G.e. - we hope to turn this into GOLD !! AS IN PLATINUM RECORDS SOMEDAY SOON " says Higgins "Our goal is to sell over 2 million downloads at itunes and Napster,..we will achieve this" says Higgins "but its gonna take time,..."And there is no doubt, that the very catchy BRANDY could sell platinum records for Greenhouse Effect. "If we could just get that song into a movie or get some kind of financial help - but help that would pay our band fairly ,..we know then that we could have huge hit mp3's - even if we ARE 40 !! - We're internet legends and we're fun to look at,...we've put the community of Redondo Beach and the Hermosa Saloon Bar into the things of internet legend,...EVERYBODY around the world is curious about the South Bay now,...and its funny - because i don't even live there anymore,..i live in San Diego (Laughs)" says HagginsMore People watch the Greenhouse Effect daily than watch the Jonas Brothers,...and it isn't even close. "We are linked to EVERYTHING via the Zeus robot technology" says Higgins "if you surf practically any keyword,..theres a damn good chance yer gonna 'stumble upon" a g.e. video,...and if that video happens to be BRANDY,WHITE BLACK , or "It ain't easy",..yer gonna like what you hear" says Higgins "Thats how we build fans,...we have made HUGE inroads into England,..in the UK, THEY LOVE our music,..we are trying to improve our Australia and Scottland traffic and it is really growing - i think alot of them think that 'BRANDY' is from England (Laughs)" says HigginsHagins says he uses the "Tubemogul" multiple Video sending service to "Blast" song videos, as well as the popular www.Blast4traffic.com email sending service - a service that has quadrupled Higgins' music traffic in England. 'Brandy' is so heavily listened and downloaded in the UK, that in January 2009, there were more plays for G.e., than Coldplay !"I've discovered some new email blasting 'safelists (Spam-free)" says Clark Hagins "One of them claims they can blast your band and songs to up to two billion emails,...well, I want to assure that I have the biggest song in the world with 'Brandy",...emails and linking tools like 'Zeus' are key,....our goal now is to get some cash flowing (revenue stream) on itunes and especially NAPSTER ."I want to triple our Google web traffic with 'WHITE BLACK THANG',...In 2008, it was the biggest song on the planet,...now I want to 'cement it' as an internet classic ,...with itunes sales."The thrill of being in the top of Myspace charts and being recognized as a serious songwriter is not enough for Higgins. "I wanna be one of the best ever ,...alot of people back in the South Bay were trying to say I suck,...they come on my Youtubes like cowards and they dare to try to call me mediocre,....well, - HOW FUCKING DARE THEY !! ?,....'EVERYBODY' knows me now ,...fucking no one knows them - they're pathetic !! ""No one back in the South Bay will help me !,...I have to sit here and do alot of this shit all by myself,...just me and Hovernton,.....IF IT WAS 'ANYBODY' ELSE BUT 'ME' ,..then 'someone' would help them,...BUT NO! NO ONE BELIEVES IN ME - AND NO ONE comes forward to lend me a hand,...they never did before - and they still DON'T NOW !! ,...AND NOBODY IN NORTH COUNTY helps me either ,...now 'thats' an example of pathetic - if you ask me !! 'Anyone out there that says I ain't good enough ,..well JUST FUCKING REMIND THEM OF THAT !! NOW 'THATS' an example of 'mediocre' at best !! NOT WHAT I DO !! ,...AND WHAT I'VE DONE - ALL BY MYSELF - FROM NOTHING !! - 'I' MADE THIS !! Do you fucking hear me - I DID THIS !! ,...BUT I AIN'T DONE,...like i've written at my main site and youtubes and elsewhere,...I AIN'T DONE UNTIL THE SOUTH BAY SUCKS MY FUCKING DICK -...I'm gonna make them suffer !!"I coulda' made all these fuckers rich 20 years ago,...but they all left me,..." THEY HAVE NO VISION - TOO BUSY GETTIN' HIGH " "Back in the South Bay,...I used to book the shows, throw the shows, SPEND MY OWN MONEY,.. i passed out tapes and flyers for other bands FOR CHRISSAKES !!, i fucking dedicated MY TIME to helping OTHERS - its practically ALL I FUCKING EVER DID,...AND RARELY DOES ANYONE say a nice word about me or one kind fucking thing,...and they seldom ever helped me once ,...'that gig' at the Hermosa Saloon that we all see now today - that was so important -,...well, if you want the truth ; WE ALMOST DIDN'T EVEN PLAY THAT GIG,....BECAUSE NO MATTER HOW MUCH I BEGGED OR PLEADED,...no other bands would let us play a show with them - i had to fucking fight for everything i EVER fucking got there - EVER !!,...And its funny how they all talk shit about me there too ,...when i've 'never' been one before - to do that kinda shit TO THEM !!,...i was always cool to them,....NOW I DON'T FEEL TOO MUCH LIKE BEING COOL ANYMORE,...I've woke up to realise that I am a 44 year old swimming pool cleaner now,...and MY LIFE AND MY MUSIC HAVE BEEN WASTED !! ,...AND they all laughed when my brother and my so called buddies in that band in 98' - threw me out,...., back up there in the S. Bay,......after i was drivin' up there all that way 'cause i just wanted to play music again,........NO, ..NO,....I'm very angry nowand now very determined to do music again in some kind of form,...but its tough when yer 44....Greenhouse Effect credit much of their success to Myspace.com and Tila Tequila's Myspace profile in particular. "We love Myspace" says Higgins "Myspace is great because it puts four or five of your songs out there for people right away,...it definitely helps you to build a strong following and people see that shit ! ,..although these days i must say that Myspace goes kinda slow when you land on it...."
