Making the CASE for Vaccine Safety: A New Model for Communicating with Parents

Despite years of scientific study the cause of autism is still unknown. One theory popular in the late 1900s and early 2000s, that vaccines cause autism, has since been disproven by numerous studies conducted in multiple labs around the world. Nurses, doctors and other health care workers face significant barriers when communicating with parents regarding the facts about vaccine safety. Singer proposes a new framework for communicating with parents. This program will focus on the science of autism and the latest research regarding autism. It will also address barriers to communication, the top parental concerns regarding vaccines and how to address these concerns using the CASE method.
