First you mix the batter, then you cover it, and place it inside the pressure cooker with a little bit of water. The steam and heat from the cooker bakes the cornbread in the internal pan. Even cooking under pressure, the cornbread rises. It comes out dense, sweet, and extremely moist. Make sure you allow the bread to cool 5 minutes after you take the pan out to ensure it is fully set.
