An icon of San Diego Bay is about to change its address – but only for a few weeks.The Star of India, the flagship of the Maritime Museum of San Diego along the Embarcadero, set “sail” to BAE Systems San Diego Ship Repair, located just south of the Coronado-San Diego Bridge, to undergo routine dry-dock maintenance. During that time, she'll get a new coating on her 146-year-old iron hull and undergo a Coast Guard inspection.The vessel is due to return 'home' in approximately three weeks, around Labor Day.Press Release
