This week on Player Attack, Sony, Funcom and PopCap were all hit by layoffs, studio closures and "reshuffling" (but PopCap offered a treat to soften the blow), in a week which also included updates on the film adaptations of both Gears of War and Uncharted. Peter Molyneux's big comeback was delayed, Borderlands received a demake, that Scott Pilgrim DLC has been pushed back even further, and we got a new look at Grand Theft Auto V. Punkers Green Day are friends with Angry Birds, Australia moves forward with adult games and designs a new Transformers character, and things got a little bit funky with Dance Central 3.
Everybody has a voice, but everybody's talking about the same thing. There's a lot of noise out there, but Player Attack aims to cut through the fluff - or, sometimes, fill you in on the fluff you might have missed. We like indie releases, breathtaking concept art, and tie-in book launches. We love cheap thrills, a good soundtrack and finding innovative uses for gaming technology. All of that is reflected on the site, updated each day with stories and details about what is going on in the games industry, always paying attention to stories other outlets ignore.
