Player Attack E3 2012 Interview Borderlands 2 - Jeramy Cooke, Gearbox Software

Borderlands was almost definitely the sleeper hit of 2009, and its innovative combination of multiplayer FPS and RPG elements has made it the only game (apart from Diablo 2) to justify three full playthroughs for me. Given its success, a sequel certainly was “a no-brainer”. While it does introduce some new elements it looks a bit like more of the same, but when that same is so great, there can be no complaints. Borderlands 2 was front and centre of the booth at E3, showing that it is 2K’s big ticket item, and it doesn’t fail to impress. Player Attack chatted to Gearbox Art Director Jeramy Cooke about just what's in store.

Everybody has a voice, but everybody's talking about the same thing. There's a lot of noise out there, but Player Attack aims to cut through the fluff - or, sometimes, fill you in on the fluff you might have missed. We like indie releases, breathtaking concept art, and tie-in book launches. We love cheap thrills, a good soundtrack and finding innovative uses for gaming technology. All of that is reflected on the site, updated each day with stories and details about what is going on in the games industry, always paying attention to stories other outlets ignore.
