Mobile gaming wasn’t forgotten at this year’s E3. Even though most people seemed to be paying attention only to the big consoles, companies like Sony Ericsson were also on-site, showing off their latest wares, biggest titles and coolest games. We caught up with Dom Neil-Dwyer from Sony Ericsson at a celebration thrown by the hardware company, in recognition of the launch of the Xperia PLAY in the North American market (that’s the “PlayStation Phone” by the way), its continuing success overseas, and – of course – the announcement of more than 20 new games for the handset. Among them is indie darling Minecraft, which is headed to the Xperia PLAY as a timed exclusive in the not-so-distant future.
Everybody has a voice, but everybody's talking about the same thing. There's a lot of noise out there, but Player Attack aims to cut through the fluff - or, sometimes, fill you in on the fluff you might have missed. We like indie releases, breathtaking concept art, and tie-in book launches. We love cheap thrills, a good soundtrack and finding innovative uses for gaming technology. All of that is reflected on the site, updated each day with stories and details about what is going on in the games industry, always paying attention to stories other outlets ignore.
