This is a fund-raising trailer for a very powerful, moving, work in progress documentary on the subject of men healing from childhood sexual abuse.The documentary focuses on three survivors of childhood sexual abuse, Tony, David and Mark. Tony is a UCBerkely graduate and teacher whose strong family ties helped him to get through his own anger to become a source of personal strength and inspiration to other survivors. David is a forensic psychologist whose personal healing journey has led him to work with prison inmates as a court advocate. Mark's healing process has taken him through the court system to change laws that protected Catholic priests from being convicted and sentenced for pedophilia.Each of these men has a unique story of personal healing, and the strength and courage of coming forward with their stories is incredibly inspiring and empowering to see.The number of men who have been impacted by childhood sexual abuse is far greater than most people are aware, and the resources for them to get the help that they need are few. Once finished this video will be a great help towards faciliating the healing process. Boys and Men Healing is being produced and directed by Kathy Barbini of Big Voice Pictures. She came to Pixley Flix Productions to edit a work in progress trailer in the hopes of obtaining more funding for this project. Due to budget cuts for social welfare programs that address issues such as sexual abuse, most of the funds that had originally been promised for the making of the film have been cut. In order to finish the project, Big Voice Pictures needs to raise enough funds for additional shooting and editing.
