Evo Terra, the co-founder of ePublish Unum and Podiobooks.com talks to G+ Interviews and How to Make It Work host Peter G McDermott about getting published. Here are notes from Evo Terra on the show: "I know we talked about Podcasting for Dummies. Even though it's a little old and some of the tech players have changed, the concepts are still 95% relevant. And it's still available on Amazon! The ISBN is 047027557X Podiobooks.com was another. 600 free serialized audio books, all free. ePublish Unum, our fledgling author education portal. We do classes and workshops -- online and in person, public events and more. I plugged Smashwords as the quick-and-easy way to get your ebook on all marketplaces with one shot. I also suggested eBook Architects (ebookarchitects.com) for the author who doesn't want to do it themselves and wants a very professional product at the end. Fantastic guys. Software plugged was Sigil http://code.google.com/p/sigil/ and Calibre http://calibre-ebook.com/. People I plugged were JC Hutchins (jchutchins.net) and Scott Sigler (scottsigler.com). Scott's website was created and hosted by BackMyBook.com, smart guys that provide digital marketplaces and online homes for authors. Very pro."
I’m Always Looking for What’s Next My interest in technology started with an Apple IIe in my kindergarten classroom, and programming BASIC by the 2nd grade. After that I took on a huge interest in broadcast both in front of the camera and behind the scenes. Gaining even further interest after watching ZDTV (later TechTV and now G4TV) I decided to study Journalism & Electronic Media in college. Now, after appearing on several major networks and creating iReports for CNN, I have moved my interest of technology and broadcast into my own weekly video podcast at MicroPatrol.com, borrowing lots of expertise from Leo Laporte’s TWiT network. Currently I’m looking to collaborate with other Nashville technology and new media enthusiasts to find untapped niche markets in the podcast realm and to create interesting and interactive content that inspires people to think, build and create. I’m always looking forward to meet new people and share their success through my podcast and website. If you’re interested in getting involved, I would love to talk to you. if you have a new product or business in the Nashville area that you would like to pitch, I would love to showcase your stuff!
