In a call for an end to solitary confinement in New York's prisons and expressing solidarity with California's Pelican Bay prisoners .This was part of a nationwide day of protests scheduled to coincide with legislative hearing on conditions and policies of the Security Housing Units (Solitary Confinement) at Pelican Bay.
