Keith Speir grew up with a passion for motocross and desert racing, His dad wanted him to ride flat track, but Keith wasn't interested. Years later, in his late 40s, he was browsing through a Cycle Trader and spotted a Triumph flat tracker. He drove over to the sellers house and bought it. The seller asked Keith if he was going to race at Ventura that weekend? "Ventura," Keith asked? Keith showed up and placed third, where he caught the attention of Eddie Mulder.
