(Remember you can watch the smaller FLV or the full 52MB high quality WMV.) I cut a Stiletto 97 apart, removed 5 cells, sewed the other 4 back together, trimmed the trailing edge, and made some other mods, resulting in a 37 square foot canopy designed to be jettisoned before landing, using an extra harness system to hold this third parachute on one's belly. This was my first jump on it, and I was only in control for parts of it. The canopy is very sensitive to weight shift or riser movement. When it snaps into a turn it tends to shift one's weight, which then causes the canopy to change what it is doing. Same issue with any pressure on the risers. Finally line twisted myself up, but it was time to chop anyway. Although I didn't mind chopping low, I still got lower than desired. Still, the cutaway altitude was little different than if one had a mal on a small modern canopy after a low but legal pull. I was using a big slow F-111 main canopy as a reliable canopy to go to after jettisoning the 37.An exciting jump, with a little bit of profanity to emphasize the point. Video is view from the jumper and some outside video by someone under canopy. The stills can also be found at http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=178719&l=8339c&id=8554956562min 32 sec video
