JALALABAD (PAN): Up to 300 guns were seized from a vegetable-laden truck at the Torkham dry port in eastern Nangarhar province on Tuesday, officials said. The shot guns were recovered from a tomato truck, heading from Peshawar to Kabul, the commander of the Customs Department Special Force said. Noor Akbar Muslimyar told Pajhwok Afghan News the truck driver and cleaner had been detained on charges of smuggling the weapons. “We handed over the weapons, vegetables and the truck to the Nangarhar Customs House in the presence of the provincial security commission,” he said.
