We will be doing a walk-through of every step needed to get started using Chef on the Opscode Platform from scratch. We will cover: the authentication portion of the sign-up process, installing chef on your management station, getting a local repository ready, connecting to the platform, basic use of the command line tools, transferring cookbooks from the cookbook site to your repo, looking briefly at a recipe, uploading cookbooks to your organization on the Opscode Chef platform, building a run list, and seeing the results of the chef run in action. ; Some items mentioned at the beginning are not covered in this version of the screencast.
