Stratton Street Capital's Managing Partner Andrew Main has decades of experience in finance and hedge funds. During this process, the firm's investor base shifted from fund of hedge funds to advisors. The New Capital Wealthy Nations Bond Fund, for example, invests in issuers with the greatest ability to pay debts avoiding highly indebted regions with unsafe Net Foreign Asset positions. This is in contrast to many bond indices and other bond funds who are, characteristically, overweight creditors to those "most indebted” countries and companies. Main believes it is prudent that investors consider exposure to currencies like Singapore $ or the Renminbi. Like the development of the Eurodollar market over a generation ago, the Renminbi market will be a key element for global bond markets for the next 20 years. Main also shares his outlook and implications on the future of the offshore Renminbi (CNH) market.
