In Spring of 2009 the UBC Learning Exchange/UBC-Community Learning Initiative began a pilot project in partnership with the Office of Learning Technology to explore building online learning communities. These communities would serve to connect those involved in Community Service Learning (CSL) at UBC. The goal was to help strengthen the networks of CSL practitioners at UBC, and provide a place where they could share resources and learn from each other.
