Howie Bromberg was born in Brooklyn, but moved to Paterson, NJ before his first birthday and thus considers himself "a Jersey guy." After college, he needed a job so he took the bus to New York and hopped off at the Port Authority. He could have gone uptown and been a theater ticket broker or downtown and become a furrier - but he started walking crosstown and landed in the garment center. The rest, as they say, is shmata history. He has been happily married to his wife Anne for 39 years. They have 2 kids and 4 grandchildren. Less
