Speakers: Lennart Jonsson Chief Technology Officer Eaton Corporation ; Ramanath Ramakrishnan Vice President Eaton Corporation Technology for the Fluid Power Group Summary: Lennart Jonsson was recently appointed Chief Technology Officer for Eaton Corporation. Mr. Jonsson, in this role, leads Eaton's businesses in the development of robust technology roadmaps that increase its ability to create solutions for its customers' power management challenges. Mr. Jonsson will also focus on building organizational capability in the company's technology and engineering functions to support fast-paced development of innovative power management products and services. Mr. Jonsson joined Eaton with the Powerware acquisition in 2004 and served as the senior engineering manager responsible for the development of all power quality products globally until he was named vice president - technology, and chief technology officer for the Electrical Group in 2007. Prior to joining Eaton, he held positions with Nea-Lindberg AS in Denmark, Ulveco Power Systems in Sweden, Fiskars Power Systems OY/AB in Finland and Deltec Electronics Corporation, Exide Electronics/Powerware and Invensys Power Systems/Powerware in the U.S. Mr. Jonsson holds a master's degree in electrical engineering from Chalmers University of Technology in Sweden. He is based at Eaton's world headquarters in Cleveland, Ohio. Ram Ramakrishnan joined Eaton in 2005 as senior manager - Corporate Technology. Most recently, he led the significant growth of Eaton's India Engineering Center in Pune, India. Before joining Eaton, he had been with GE for nine years, most recently as general manager - Reliability and Safety Engineering. Prior to that role, he was the Global Six Sigma Quality and e-Engineering leader for GE's Global Research team and held other engineering research roles with GE. Previously, he held engineering positions with Wyman-Gordon Company an aerospace components manufacturer. Ram is a certified professional engineer with a master's degree in mechanical engineering from Ohio University and a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Bangalore University in India.
