Tom Maxwell wears his heart on his sleeve, and makes no apologies for it. From his years spent as anchor for Northern Hemisphere Live on WXYC in Chapel Hill in the mid to late 1980s, to his vibrant yet sometimes tumultuous career with the Squirrel Nut Zippers in the late 1990s, Tom has always kept his third eye on the prize; enlightenment. The long awaited follow up to his first solo release, Samsara, is currently in it's infancy stages as Tom works out the kinks on some new songs in live solo performances around Chapel Hill. We had the pleasure of hanging out with Tom in his Chatham County home to enjoy some of his new songs, some homebrew and his lap cat, Timothy.www.tommaxwell.comwww.myspace.com/tommaxwellhttp://cdbaby.com/cd/tommaxwell
