With military members and their families traveling throughout a 24-hour day, the USO Sea-Tac Center provides the "comforts of home" and traveling assistance every day of the week. The Sea-Tac Center serves military members and their families with a full nursery, children’s games, books, and toys; sleeping facilities, showers, free snack bar, comprehensive travel information and assistance, and a lounge area that includes a big-screen TV, X-box games, Internet access, and library.Located right on base, the USO McChord Center provides a troop lounge and deli serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner free of charge. Staff and volunteers work within the military community to assist families through the Family Readiness Groups (FRGs) and Fisher House, and support single military members through various programs. They work closely with the base operations staff during troop deployments to distribute individual USO care packages to each and every military member deploying to combat zones through McChord or Fort Lewis. On Todays show, Erin sits down with Don Leingang and Ralph Graves to find out more about how this organization serves our local military community.
