Just off the square you can find Hailey’s Club hosting ’80s Night every Thursday. “’80s Night has been around for about five years,” bar manager Justin Bernard said.Bernard has been a bartender at Hailey’s for about two and a half years, experiencing ’80s Night first-hand from behind the bar.

A game described as “live-action Dungeons & Dragons” by its players, Amtgard is a game that draws NT students and residents of the Dallas-Fort Worth area to Denton's McKenna Park most Sunday afternoon. Amtgard is a national organization, but a group of Texas Academy of Math and Science students founded Denton’s Amtgard chapter more than 10 years ago, according to leaders of the group.
