Most of the meeting was taken up with a discussion of a fire that struck the Meadowbrook housing complex on 4/13/09. Several of those who were residents at the time criticized the performance of the fire department and the tenure of Preservation Of Affordable Housing (POAH), which currently operates the complex. Fire officials from Northampton and surrounding towns defended their performance. The committee discussed the matter and agreed to pursue an inquiry with POAH. This video was recorded by Adam Cohen.
