The appendix is where beneficial bacteria can be left undisturbed until they're needed for digestion. For the time being that is. I think the appendix has been reserved by evolution for a greater purpose not yet determined by the whole of nature. The brain, right now, may be where ideas hide out until they're required, but what if evolution has something else in mind for the brain? What if the brain is headed for a function far different than that of thought? What if all culture and civilizatio...

    • The Haters 25th Anniversary Show

The Haters 25th Anniversary Show; Seattle March 19th 2004. Original cast members Colin Upton, Ken Gerberick, and Fraser Hall joined GX Jupitter-Larsen sitting around a small amplified card table. Each rubbed a bright pink calculator against some very harsh sandpaper. Pink dust literally poured off the sides of the tiny table as a thin pink haze hovered over the performers. The Untitled Title Belt was used as an extra sound source. The resulting vibrations were an abrasive severity that seemed ...

    • Static Poem in 3D

If clocks indicate not a movement of time, but the metabolism of the person perceiving the clock in motion, time would then be a stationary void located in between the passing of events with anti-time as the velocity of the metabolism. It is anti-time that moves, not time; anti-time as energy; time as anergy. The eye can clearly hear any rolling rattle of competing arguments in complex stacks like this. Glorified in sand spits and coral atolls that aren’t related to the various crashes with thi...

Five members of The Haters cut, ripped, teared & slashed away at a chair, mattress, table, VCR, oversized highway pylon with flashing orange light, two sofas, three car seats, four car tires, and five motorcycle tires. They started slowly at first. Hacking away at the fabric for about ten minutes. Thereafter, many from the audience would join in on the celebration. Everything got smashed. The performance ended when one performer set off a rather large smoke-bomb. Polite applause from the audie...

    • Zighting Temperature Scale

Zighting is a scale of temperature on which zero degrees is the most comfortable, -1 degrees is too warm, and positive 1 is too cold. Three degrees is too hot or cold for life of any kind to exist. With such a wrap-around thermal context as 3 degrees Zighting, a doughnut-shaped thermometer will be essential. The Zighting scale does not have a two degrees frame of reference, as there is little need for one.For myself, zero degrees Zighting is roughly 15 - 18 Celsius.According to Ed Taylor, zero...
