Having spent almost 30 years filming history in Virginia and the surrounding states I thought it was about time that people get an opportunity to view this history. It all started with the filming of white water video in the mountains of Virginia, Kentucky and West Virginia when Nolan Whitesell of Norcross, Georgia arrived at the Russell Fork Creek in Kentucky. Not realizing who Nolan was I soon gathered that he was someone important because with him were white water followers from all over the world. This was a filming excursion to remember as I would soon find out. Each weekend in October the dam's water would be let out to flood Russell Fork Creek allowing white water experts to show their craft.Soon after this I started following the Canal and Navigations Society. Their goal was the restoration of the canals and familiarizing Virginians with the history surrounding this era of Virginia's trade route. What people are currently viewing on my channel is my most recent project. International history became a passion for me to introduce Richmond to the cultural diversity of our area. As I was growing up I was not aware of a cultural diversity in Richmond, but as I got older this diversity became very evident to me. It is my hope from my display of these videos that people whether of Richmond or any place will welcome those who have found a love for our cities and want to make them their permanent home.
