Hello,Thanks for watching my ART 110 Digital Art final project I made while attending Kalamazoo College. For the project I decided to make a short animation set to a song I wrote and recorded using Propellerhead Reason 4.0 and a midi controller. All the images in the animation are hand drawn and scanned where they are then colored and distorted by the computer using a combination of Adobe Photoshop CS3, Adobe After Effects CS3 and Final Cut pro. I wanted to take a second to explain the meaning of this animation to me. In keeping with the theme of digital art, I wanted to show the disconnect between physical and electrical music. When I am composing digitally, I often find myself in my own imagination searching for the right instrument for the song. The character in my animation is going through the process of conceptualizing a piece and we are following along with him.Again, thanks for watching. I hope you like it. Less
