National Museum of the American Indian

Since the opening of the NMAI's museum on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., on September 21, 2004, we have continued to create and present innovative public programs, to provide outreach to bring the NMAI to audiences and Native communities outside Washington, D.C., and New York all while caring for the more than 800,000 objects that make up the collections of the museum.
